The year: 2003. Eastman-trained Paul Hammerick wanted to put together a band that could bring popular, danceable music to the Rochester audience.

Enter Patti Marquardt. From a family of musicians, she offers a powerful combination of guitar and keyboard, and unsurpassed vocal talent.

The search led Paul to bassist / vocalist Vinny Recca. Hailing from the NYC area, Vinny is well versed on bass and also adds saxophone to the mix. He has strong vocal ability that is unequaled when blended with Patti's harmonies.

Vinny recruited fellow NYC-area native and musical associate Darin Giammusso who added electric guitar and another vocal. This meant the group was ready to perform. The foursome perfected their act under the working name "Agent 99", and focused their attention on larger private events.

Late in 2003, this layered instrumental and richly vocal group brought on board the punch and visibility of an established guitar soloist. Jim Lane adds vibrancy and zest to this group as lead vocalist and guitarist. Jim is an experienced Rochester entertainer who continues to work a wide circuit of local clubs as part of an acoustic solo/duo act.
